2025 Symposium of the JP-DE ASPIRE “Neutral-atom QC” Report
The 2025 Symposium of the JP-DE ASPIRE “Neutral-atom QC” was held at the Okazaki Conference Center (OCC), National Institutes of Natural Sciences, from November 24 to 28, 2025.
This symposium was organized as the first meeting of a new international conference series that will be held alternately in Japan and Germany in the coming years. Its aim is to build a solid foundation for long-term research collaboration and to develop a network that supports researcher exchange between the two countries. Throughout the symposium, participants engaged in active discussions across different research fields, sharing ideas on a wide range of topics related to neutral-atom quantum computing.
In addition to poster presentations by early-career researchers, the symposium featured exhibition booths and networking programs hosted by partner institutions and companies, which encouraged diverse forms of scientific exchange. During the breaks between sessions, presenters and participants took the opportunity to discuss their research progress and explore possibilities for future collaboration in a more relaxed atmosphere, creating natural connections across borders. An excursion held during the symposium also provided a comfortable setting for further interaction, helping participants strengthen their mutual understanding and build lasting professional relationships.
These activities contributed significantly to the development of a sustainable research network between Japan and Germany and to the growth of the next generation of researchers.
